Mobile Web Usage: iPhone 5 v. Galaxy S III
If you’ve seen the ads, you’ve probably figured out by now that the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III (two of the newest smartphones on the market) are competing head to head for users. The Galaxy S III has been out for four months and has been pretty popular. To no ones surprise, the iPhone 5 was released to crushing sales. So, now that users have chosen sides, which group is using their cherished smartphone to browse the mobile web the most?
According to data analytics company Chitka, the iPhone 5 is wracking up higher mobile web numbers – but not by too much.
Chitka came up with these numbers by “conduct[ing] a user agent analysis on millions of mobile ad impressions, spanning a 7-day time frame from October 3rd through October 9th, 2012.”
With numbers this close, it’s clear that mobile web testing should definitely encompass both the latest iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy S III.
