Sophos recently posed a poll question to its readers:

If one of your friends or family had suffered a computer security problem, what browser would you recommend that they use? What’s your preferred browser security-wise?

They named the give big browsers (plus an “other” option) and let their audience cast their votes. The poll has been up for five days now and Opera and  Google Chrome have come out as the clear front runners. Here are the latest results (after 7,626 votes):

Opera: 34.66%
Google Chrome: 30.88%
Mozilla Firefox: 23.63%
Microsoft Internet Explorer: 5.61%
Safari: 3.28%
Other: 1.94%
